Are you referring to using it with IMPULSE?
You won't hear any response unless you have either 10 or 11 preset chosen on your trigger finger. That's using the FACTORY settings.
Can't remember if it's 10 or 11, but impulse uses non-gm standard mapping, so the preset 1 on the trigger finger won't work!
Good luck!
S Rockstar.

i had the same problem
I returned my Trigger Finger. I'd recommend doing the same unless you use it with something other than Live.

Just came across this. I posted this exact same problem about 1 1/2 months ago. The best I could get after rescanning the MIDI devices in the Mac OS X Audio/MIDI preferences, was about 10-15 seconds where Ableton recognized MIDI data from the TF, even though the program did see that TF was connected.
I returned the TF to the store where I bought it and had a new one sent. When I tried that a few times I got a whopping 3 minutes or so at best of Ableton recognizing incoming MIDI data..then the same crap. (To be honest, I only gave it a quick shot the second time around and have been too busy to fool around with it again, but what the heck!?!
I have a 1st generation MacBook with Core Duo/2GB RAM--not sure if anyone has ever figured this out.
Anyone? Anyone?

maybe because we all have something made by m-audio, and all manufacturers make some faulty stuff. . its just one of the only manufacturers that we ALL have stuff from. ?Tarekith wrote:I rreally couldn't say...Vaughan wrote:Why do we all seem to be having similar problems with m-audio stuff in Live?

ARGH!--
OK, so after testing out my second Trigger Finger and running into the same problem with Ableton not recognizing incoming MIDI data after a few seconds, I finally contacted M-Audio customer service.
This is the reply e-mail I got:
"This is a known issue and we are working with Apple to resolve it. In the meantime, many users have had success using a powered USB hub to get around the issue."
(!)
So...........I'm guessing with things like this that this "working w/Apple" will go on for endless months? Haven't tried the USB hub, but that kind of defeats the whole purpose of the powering the unit from the computer via USB. (not to mention the extra cash involved)
Does anyone have a better experience with something like this or....don't hold my breath?
