maudio firewire 410 mic/ line input issue! HELP!

hi, this is very urgent! i have a problem with my firewire 410.
i have my mic plugged into the XLR or my guitar plugged into the line input and the sound card is detecting incoming sound from the mic/ guitar (the lights are flashing on when i speak into the mic/play guitar) but the incoming sound from the mic/ guitar is not registering on ableton/ soundforge/ windows. its as if there is no input at all. Do you know what this could be? cheers

have you enabled the inputs in the preferences in Live?

problem fixed!
right i went through my maudio controller (the dashboard program) and found that the output on it was panned to hard left, havent a clue how that happened, but obviously, mic's record mono! (so hence no output!). <br>
Just incase anyone else has the problem, its easy to overlook!
