That's one of the most stupid mac arguments i've ever heard. but as long as ure happy..SPAWNmaster wrote:negative. the core audio is much stronger in quality and is much more dependable than any native drivers on a PC and ASIO (imho).Michael-SW wrote:It is not like your music will sound better or Live run faster on a Mac.
cheers
This simply isn't true. The audio quality is first and foremost the result of what kind of audiohardware u might have.
But, macs are prettier to look at, and safer for users with less computerskillz

I had a toshiba laptop coreduo 1,7ghz 2gb ram with live 5.2 and it was ok.
a bit long to load, but ok.
no real crashes...
not always stable...
I have now macbook core2duo 2ghz, 2gb ram with live 6 and it is little more ok:
quick to load (live and liveset)
no crashes (when hardwaare and external gear good configured)
what's better for me with the macbook ?
+1 the size : it is really tiny and fits on a table juste next to my flycase
+1 the stability
+1 the OS (simple simple)
+1 the FUN-*FACTOR (it works quick, great, and now.)
-1 UGLY i got the white one and it's so... white and I can see my fingerprints!!(put your beercan a little more away...

for a live gig I think a little macbook is really okay with live.
but I won't say mac is better than pc, because mac is now kinda particular pc, isn't it? (macintel) so apple is a kind of other pc brand...
cheers and goog gig's to all !

I can't think of something real to say against Macs but I just can't keep away from Windows!
Mac's are more expensive but I guess it's just the graphics and gaming that keep me away. If I had money I'd have best of both but for now I have 3 laptop's (PCs).
I just like the fact everything is very customizeable, and that I already know everything there is to it, cause if I got Mac I'd have to learn alot.
And way more plugs for Windows VS osx.
