I just thought it would like the Mackie Control does, or like the BCF and BCR in Mackie control emulation do.
Would it not?

Except that for instance, if you add or delete a track, all your setup gets messed up.
Do you see where we're coming from
Totally agree.

I use my LV1, LX1 and Ld2 mainly for Dj'ing so not too much of a problem as its a static set up pretty much.

BUT - for recording it is a nightmare. For instance if I want to move track 8 to position track 3 (maybe two guitar tracks for direct comparison) the midi controls do not move with the track so you lose the functionality.

Having said that, the Faderfoxes absolutely rock. They are extremely well built and apart from the above have great functionality. The midi connection is actually a blessing and allows devices to be chained together without sperate usb connections.. I think some people don't quite understand the simplicity of the set up and freak because it's not direct USB.

I am actually suprised that Ableton are not working more closely with Mathius, as it seems a match made in heaven to me :)

were you able to add some parameters using the userconfiguration.txt file?
what controller do you have? how does the txt file look? could you post it?
I have a LX2...
cheers!

Has anyone from Ableton ever even talked about this? Matthias must have insulted their ancestors or something.

I can't believe how pointedly they have ignored him for so long.

maybe it's time to tell matthias that he should make a custom userconfiguration.txt file?
I don't want to continue mapping like I did before. It would be such a perfect compagnion to the bcr2000! I want those automatic solos, recs, tracks!
hell yeah! please!

hi everyone ;)

I use Faderfox LV2 with the ready-live-set downloadable in Faderfox's site.
Its the only way for having full control of thousands functions of it.
Anyway I am still waiting like you for a native support.

Loving Ableton 7!!!!!!!!!!
