AU's not showing up in Ableton Live 6

I have a 13" Macbook (2.16 GHz)

All of my VST's show up (in Ableton 6), but the only AU's that appear are the stock Apple plug-ins. All of the components are UB compatible, but not one shows up. I tried rescanning, with no luck. I also tried moving the components to the folder where Apple keeps its AU's- that did not work either.

As of right now, the components are located in audio/plugins/components....
The VSTs are in audio/plugins/vst.
It makes no sense to me why the vst's are showing up and the AU's are not.

Any advice?

Are running an intel Mac and are your AU's universal binary?

they are all UB plug-ins...figured it out though....its becasue i had them in subfolders within the components folder according to company. Apprantly AU's atomatically do it, while VSTs don't
