Sound hangs/loops in certain tracks after stopping song

Post by movingfusion99 » Wed Aug 15, 2007 5:00 pm

Hi,

I am having a problem where certain tracks keep making sound, even after I pressed the stop button. It are mainly Reaktor tracks that cause this problem. I am using Live 5.2 on a Macbook Dualcore 1.83 Ghz + 2 GB RAM.

Is there something like a Panic Button in Live? The sound gets really annoying and at this point the only way to stop it is to relaunch Live.

Thanks for any input!

There is something like a panic button, but only in Live 6

In live 6 you can click on the CPU meter to disable Audio processing

btw,

it is not necessarily instant...

whatever lag is present due to processor overload, GUI slowdown etc may still be present. So even after clicking there you may have to wait a bit before your click is processed.

thought I should mention before you shell out for the upgrade ;)

This problem happens with me only when I use the spacebar for stopping. But the sound will also stop if i press stop on the transport after the sound keeps going on so I don't have to restart Live in order to stop it.

This is on Live 6.0.7 on a MBP.

hmm, well i've decided i cant live with it. :)
i've tried the Live 6 demo, and the sound indeed stops when I press on the CPU meter (it turns off the sound engine). But when I turn it on again, the hanging noise is still there. I begin to suspect of Reaktor causing this problem, not Live.

the workaround is to freeze the Reaktor trak tho..
