Can't open Live 5 set in Live 6 - HELP?

Im running Live 6.07 on a Vaio T2400 with 1.0GB of Ram

The project was made in Live 5.0 using Battery 3.02 as a VST and Massive as well and it worked in Live 5. Then when I upgarded to live 6...

NOT ONLY wont the project open in Live 6
But i lost all of my prefrences in 5.22
This - I fixed through the help of the uber-cool Jork at Ableton Support...
however - Now 5.22 won't open the set either!

I have read some forums and have already tried the following

1: Opening Battery as a standalone, loading some kits, closing it, then trying to open the project in live...
2: Making sure that it's the latest VST dll file of Battery

SO, neither Live 5 or Live 6 will open this file anymore and I am up a proverbial creek without the proverbial paddle...

in 5 or 6, try removing massive and then freezing the battery audio and export for use in another project..then vise versa. remove battery and freeze massive- export

by remove meaning: remove the vst/dll before trying to open the project.
this is at least a way to salvage your work..

hopefully you can find a way to actually be able to open the project again.

It may be an NI thing. I vaguely remember reading on their forum something about massive and battery causing crashes.
