Hi Everyone,

Here's a snippet from the press release of our latest... Microdrum: Groove Sequencers for Live 6

Puremagnetik Releases Microdrum - Groove Sequencers for Ableton Live 6

Puremagnetik has released Microdrum, a unique groove sequencing pack for Ableton Live 6. Microdrum comes loaded with 5 banks of drum kits, over 50 preset Groovetracks and 30 percussion menus.

Based on the Magnetik Step16 rack, Microdrum employs 16 steps of rhythmic phrasing in individual sequencers for each drum voice. Any Live 6 user can easily load any of Microdrum's instruments and begin creating complex beats.

Puremagnetik has extensively programmed Macro controls for each bank, allowing on-the-fly editing of drum timbre and tone. Also included, are detailed quick start lesson files to help users get up and running quickly.

[quote="micah frank"]Hi Everyone,

I don't get it.

Did you build a step-sequencer for drums in live?

Holy crap! you guys really knocked me dead on this one! A friggin step sequencer made out of racks!!?? 8O 8O

And the interface is so simple and intuitive. this thing is unbelievable! I tried to figure out how it's working but there are too many layers. Care to give us some hints? I can see that the arp is involved.

haha. yes..... :twisted:

lots of arps. here's a hint: if you combine pitch, chord and arp (i think in that order) you can program it so that only one note in your arp sequence actually hits a range above C-1. So there are constant 16th notes happening, but only one of them surfaces above C-1. :wink:

Hello!

I think that I have a problem with Microdrum. I am trying to modificate the steps in a groove preset, but I cannot do it, because the knobs that isn't functions in the preset cannot be modificated (it shows a value of 100, but the knob is black, without the orange colour, and I move the knob, but it has no effect). I don't know if you understand what I say, but what is wrong?

Thank you.

I forgot to say that I can edit the knobs of the macro of the steps before the playing of the clip. But when I play the clip, I cannot use some controls. Why??

check the automation. i know there's 2 modes for microdrum. one is just a playback mode for the presets while the other lets you edit all the steps. i'm unsure which is which but i think the instructions explain it.
