problems ejecting my 250G lacie hard drive after using Live.

Post by rdilla » Sat Aug 18, 2007 12:59 am

Has anyone experienced this issue?
I searched the whole forum for it and haven't seen it yet.

I have all my music saved on my 250G lacie hard drive.
I just re-installed my whole computer and have begun to use Ableton Live 6.
I am bringing in songs, chopping them up, and saving them into my laptop hard drive.

For some reason, after I close Live and try to eject the hard drive,
it says it is 'still in use, and cannot be ejected.'
Even after closing all the applications on my computer, it says the same thing.

Does anyone know why this is happening?
Any help would be great.. Got a gig this monday that is counting on it.

thanks!

you on a mac? sometimes it helps to force quit the finder.
Suit #1: I mean, have you got any insight as to why a bright boy like this would jeopardize the lives of millions?
Suit #2: No, sir, he says he does this sort of thing for fun.

I'm on a 15" powerPC G4, OS X 10.4.10. I quit all my applications, including the finder, and finder still says the drive is in use.

any other suggestions, anyone?

I just got a Lacie 300GB and it's not giving me any trouble. Even though I'm on a PC, I think 'Force Quit' would be the answer for you.

Also, I assume your drive-not-ejecting should not be cause of worry for the gig! Drive not mounting should be ;)
