Hi everyone!
I just recently finished building a freeware SidechainCompressor plugin for MacOSX Universal Binary. It has an additional sidechain input and can act as a "ducker".
Since there was no real freeware SC compressor available for OSX UB, I decided to make one myself.
Get it from here:

To use it, you need the Open Source Framework SonicBirth to be found here:

Let me know what you think!
Cheers

very nice! I appreciate your efforts! i will go ahead and try it out when i get some time and hope to use it as a replacement for the autopan trick I use for sidechain-ducking.

Hey well I would just like to say that you have made a fine little plugin for use...thanks for the cpu-lite sidechain. It would help if you offered a version with a non-fixed knee. I need to do some intensive testing this weekend but i did a quick overview last night and seems to work well. Also the 1/0 is less than intuitive...the plugin could do for a better design off this (simple on/off labels would suffice!).
i will post my results after doing some testing this weekend. thanks and cheers

the release time so far goes up to 100ms.
cheers!

@SPAWNmaster:
thanks for your comments! glad you like it so far!
you were totally right about the 0-1 labels. something I totally did not pay attention to. It has been fixed in the recent version: *link down*
so far I don´t plan on re-implementing the knee, though... mostly, because I personally don´t believe in knees on compressors, and it would mean a lot of work to fit it in the GUI. If you really want to have it for yourself though, I could send you an "ugly" version with an additional knee knob.
Cheers!
