HELP! Ableton VS PCR-M30.Really ODD Control Surface problems

My friend has recently setup his PCR-M50 as a control surface for Live on his Macbook Pro (as per sombody's post on here who provided a template and UserConfiguration.txt). All was working well for a while until just the other day the knobs and sliders and transport controls stopped working.

Since then, he's done a erase and install (Mac) and installed everything from scratch but it's still not working. He's tried installing on a friend's Macbook Pro with success. But it just won't work for his Macbook Pro anymore.

Any ideas why this is? I've gone through everything with him (he's in a different country to me) but we still can't figure it out! Any help appreciated!

Just an update. On my working setup (pretty much the same), when I move a slider, knob or button, the green blinking light next to KEY will light. I'm able to get the Blue Hand when trying to control a rack. When I press any of the keys, the green blinking light next to D will light. My setup is working fine.

On his setup, for all controls except some buttons, the light next to D will light. He cannot get the blue hand to work.

Anyone?

It's odd... I have the same problems too. But mine is PCR M30.

Been running it smoothly for couple weeks, but suddenly all the knobs, buttons and sliders stops functioning. Only keys, transpose & octave buttons and modulation bender working now.

Formatted my mbp and reinstall ableton, pcr m30 driver and also the pcr editor .mid files. (I ran Ableton live 6.0.7 with Mac OSx 10.4)

Anyone else experienced this? Been looking for the answers all over. Helps will greatly appreciated.

have you checked if it's the pcr? is live definitely receiving midi?

Yeap, checked it. I tried to use it on my friend's mbp (macbookpro), everything seems to work really fine as it was before. But if i plug it to my mbp, the only thing that works just the keys... knobs, sliders, buttons aren't responding. Been transmiting .mid files from the pcr editor too

Live does receiving midi, checked it too on Audio + MIDI setup, and mbp receives the pcr. Working hard to figure this things out. Any suggestions?

Sorry I must ask more obvious questions

is the device enabled in the top section of the MIDI preferences? that is where the Automap/instant mapping/ blue hand comes from

is it enabled below that as 'remote'? That is not necessary for the above to work, but it might be a reason you don't get action from the sliders, if it is also not enabled up top

Yes i enable it in MIDI Preferences.
On number 1 I chose: CONTROL SURFACE: PCR-M30 and INPUT: Edirol Pcr (Edirol PCR 1).

Where on the lists below it, I have BOTH TRACK and REMOTE ON for:
INPUT: Edirol PCR (Edirol PCR 1), INPUT: Edirol PCR (Edirol PCR 2) and OUTPUT: Edirol Pcr.

But the sliders, knobs and buttons won't work. It all sending signal to Top right box next to D in Live, where sliders knobs and button suppose to sending green light blinking to the Top box right next to KEY.

Any other clue???
