hey... anyone that can help me out id greatly appreciate it. i am trying to sync up two mac laptops both with live so i can do a performance. i have two usb midi interfaces, a presonus firepod, two mac laptops both with live 6 and two m audio xstations!!!!

hey man thanks for the response. i understand it for the most part. i think there is still something so dumb im just not doing right. i just wanna view it over with you if you dont mind.
one mac is already set to EXT.
in the preferences how should they look. since my laptop will play master and the other will be slave what should my configuration look like.

Master Mac set to Sync Out in MIDI prefs.
MIDI cable plugged into MIDI out on master.
MIDI cable plugged into MIDI in on slave Mac.
Slave Mac set to Sync In in MIDI prefs.
EXT button pressed on slave.
Hit space bar on master.
Also, if you're using MIDI interfaces with more than one port, dedicate one port to sync and the other to CCs/notes/etc. I was losing sync occasionally until I started doing it with separate ports. I never lose sync now, even over 5-6 hours.
