More Downtemp Surfers Delight... and prob my last 4 a while

Post by ScholarlyGent » Fri Aug 24, 2007 11:15 pm

For those sunsets on the shore, an afternoon surf or a morning coffee on the dunes, I am pleased to announce the independent realease of "Watching Waves", a downtempo surf track inspired by... watching waves. It will also likely be my last for a while as Law School is in full swing and free time in non-existent. I know, I know, your all broken up! Take a listen to the new track (the myspace link on the bottom) if your into downtempo stuff and let me know what you think. Feedback always helps. Thanks and enjoy!

Yet again, an awesome track! You gotta find time to keep putting stuff out, I havn't been able to find stuff like yours elswhere. Its great. Old school 60's surf sound with a modern chill twist. The new track is a little more modern sounding, in a good way and the tittle is perfect. It totally makes me think of watching waves crashing on the beach. I was also stoked to finally be able to download your stuff so you should be about $8.00 richer. Dont waste it all on whores and booze! haha. Are gonna put your stuff out with any label?

I really enjoyed listening to those tracks. Does have a surfer feel about it with a contemporary twist. Excellent for movie soundtrack too.

Thanks Dango. I just got back about a week ago. It was beautiful as always... wish there where more waves but what can you expect for the summer. Actually, Flossie kicked up a little (operative word being little) somthing for about two days, I'm sure you remember, so I managed to catch a few decent rides. Thanks again!

Its really funny you say that because I would really love to have my stuff put behind some surf movies, I just have to find time to shop it out which I wont be able to do for a while. Thanks for the complements!

Speaking of soundtracks. Does anyone know of any labels that deal in downtempo surf music or even specifically surf videos? My ties are in the Detroit scene so I'm a little out of my element in this area, at least on the business side. I'm just looking for someone who might be interested in putting my stuff out. I know I can always look up the credits on all my surf videos but I'm wondering if anyone knows of anything personally or may even be involved with something along these lines themselves. Thanks.
