Best "Rock" song ever (in your opinion)

Post by smutek » Sat Aug 25, 2007 12:20 am

Ok, one more in the spirit of the "best band" thread. Definition of "rock" is yours, old new, hard, mellow, satan, freedom, whatever.

When I think of the best rock song ever "Under Pressure" by Queen and David Bowie invariably comes to mind. That is one powerful joint man. Even the horribly disgraceful Vanilla Ice rip can not diminish it's power.

oohh, nice one! How about Eminence Front?

I'm going to have to dig out some of the old rock records this weekend.

ahhhh, touche! nice choice. In an entirely different vein (and in light of our open definition of "rock") I have to mention "Boy with the Arab Strap" by Belle and Sebastion. That's one song that always blows me away.

ROCK: Aenema - Tool

Classic: Revolution - The Beatles or Purple Haze - Jimmi

Modern: Karma Police - Radiohead

But I DO love me some Ace O Spades

I was going for Opiate, but these two are great, especially Aenema.
