corrupted preferences and .als file

Post by decimal » Sat Aug 25, 2007 5:02 am

I seem to be having a frustrating problem.

For the second time now, i have been in live and when i close the program, it hangs for a moment and then windows BSoDs on me. After a cold reboot, i reload live and it tells me my preferences config file is corrupt. After re-unlocking/configuring the program i go to open the track i was previously working on and live also tells me it is corrupt and unreadable. I have tried contacting ableton support about this to no avail. I'm sure you can imagine this is very frustrating.

Anyone ever encounter something like this? Why it happens or if anything can be fixed? I'm running WinXP with Live5.2.2.

When trying to open the same file in the latest version of Live 6, it tells me an error occured and also the following message:

[list index out of range, class Slot<SequencerDevice>]

Does anyone know the meaning of this error?
