HELP!!!!!!!! IVE LOST HALF MY FILES AND SONGS!!!!!!!!

I went to open a Recent Set and it was empty. I cant find any of my recent songs anyway on my OS!!! As well as that all my samples are missing from the drop down box simpler operator etc. NOTHING!!! hope someone can help me get my songs back.........

what do you see when you hit

windows_key & f

and type

*.als

you should see every live set on your system when it has finished searching.

sorry ive exagarated. my files from live 5 are there. and a couple from live six. but not my recent files. yeah i tried the .als search but can find them.
it asked me to create another folder for some reason couldnt understand why so i named it ableton2 but thats also empty i know i know but it said it couldnt be launched without a new folder. i rekon ive done it while adding this new folder. cant understand why i can search it on OS. i know im having a bit of a bitchy freakout session but these were my best songs and were flowing well for a change.

are we talking about a new library folder here, or a new program folder for teh new version of ableton?

just for the record you should never store your own songs in the ableton Library. Keep them separate.

i cant remember exactly what the folder was for. iin the ableton program it just said it needed a new folder to save sets into. but when i checked it for the missing 'recent sets' it was empty
