CPU problems Ableton

Post by Size » Mon Aug 27, 2007 7:04 pm

Hello boys and girls!

I am having some troubles with ableton after reinstalling windows XP.

I've just installed ableton and after loading a couple vst's my cpu is getting very high. I've downloaded the asio4all package, turning my sounddevice in ableton's preferences to asio and hoping to reduce the cpu, but that didn't work out. It used to work fine with more plugins at the same time, before the reinstalling windows, so there must be a setting or driver that's anoying me :)

I am using the Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS soundcard
Pentium 4, 3.40 GHz, 1.00 Gig

Besides of that I get a message: "Live has detected another active ReWire Master. No rewire slaves will be available to Live, etc " That's weird because I haven't installed any other audio programs yet

Could somebody help me out?! I'll appreciate it a lot

Kind regards,
