Ableton + Real Mixer

Hi guys...i took back the gemini pmx-04...now the shop said me that with the gemini ps-02 i could use a program like ableton or virtual dj and i could controll it with the mixer...I ask you guys to tell me if this is true or not

no you cant. that mixer does not send out MIDI. it transports audio data through its usb port to the computer. no midi. you need a midi mixer which is called a "midi controller" which sends out midi signals called control change

look into the Evolution UC33. cheap and effective

but what is it you want to do exactly? do you wanna be another ableton dj? if so... you need a dj mixer to mix the audio signals coming out o ableton. and you will need some kind of midi controller to control ableton´s eq, mixer, dynamics, etc.. Some mixers have both (midi + audio) but are more expensive. I think you neeed an UC33 + a two channel dj mixer + a 2 channel audio interface (so yoy have 4 monos or 2 stereos going in and out)

Guys...thanks for the help...I took back the Gemini and I bought An hercules dj consolle mk2...it works perfectly!!!
