Glitches caused by recording a DJ Set?

Post by chaircrusher » Tue Aug 28, 2007 5:30 pm

So I have my standard DJ Live set, with a bunch of tracks preloaded -- about 200 tracks at last count. Minimal effects -- EQ3 on 2 tracks, reverb and delay on sends.

I'd never encountered problems with glitching while playing out before, but the last time I played I had horrible glitching. The only difference between previous DJ sets was that I was recording my set --i.e. recording track triggers, fader moves etc.

Does recording have that great an effect on Live's stability? Everything was working just fine until I hit record and triggered my first clip. After that, every time I triggered a new clip, audio would glitch. Sometimes crossfader moves or knob twiddling would cause glitches.
