another keyboard controller - whats your favourite?
hey guys, i need your advice. im looking at getting another controller in the 4-5 octave range.
i currently have a remote le 25 and a lemur, but ive outsretched my keys and need more.
i was contemplating getting a new hardware synth and cover those extra octaves that way too, but i think its a better idea to keep my synths and keyboard seperate since i can just put desktop versions of the synths in my rack, and hookup the keyboard controller to it that way. i can always leave the keyboard controller at home as well if i think i wont need it for a gig.
so anyway back to my question, whats your favourite keyboard midi controller?

thanks for the advice. what about the novation stuff? is automap anygood?
i have a remote le but the buttons feel tacky, knobs aren't too smooth and the xy pad has the most ridiculously low reolution i have ever felt. i barely use anything except the keys on it. im not sure what to expect further up the novation line and m-audio

Would you mind sending some pics.Illum wrote:I made my own out of a cannablised novation keybed, some doepfer brains and a homemade housing.
I really just wanted a basic, 32 key controller ala old school analogue but nobody sold one so I threw one together with an x/y joystick (no USB though unfortunately).
I bought fantastic (and damn expensive) doepfer keys but still didnt get the housing, shame because the keys are superb, pleasure to play.
