How to use send return???
I want to use Return tracks to effect different audio clips without use much controls (i have only one MIDI controller ) but i have some problem with the volume (i use an audio clip to send audio to return track and then the return track send audio to another audio track that have his monitor in), that, when the send active, is pumped up and i have problems with the effects in the return track too, because they results in a very different way in comparison to the effects introduced normally in an audio track. Can you tell me why?????Basically there are two types of effects: ones that alter the sound itself and those that add something and leave the original sound unaffected.
The latter can be recognized by dry/wet controls. Only those should be used in the returns (at least for the beginning. You can always do what you want as long as you know exactly what you are doing, of course)
If you use them in the returns you should turn the dry/wet controls completely to wet.
The classical application for this is reverbs. You can use one reverb and thereby put several tracks into one virtual room. Then you turn up the sends and thus put some tracks more away from the listener (more send) or closer to him (less send). I don't know the English word but in German this is called "Tiefenstaffelung" (deepness progression????). This way you can experiment with several virtual rooms (reverb settings) easily and at the same time preserve the way your tracks are arranged in space.

if you drag a normal effect to a normal track it will modify the original signal with the effect signal and mix them depending on the dry/wet parameter....
send returns work differently, it will split the original signal into two, keep the original and tack on the extra return signal, this is why it should be 100% wet..... now you will hear 100% of original and 100% of effect at the same time, rather then 50/50 or 30/70 depending on how much you turn dry/wet....
