Hi,

did you move the .asd file along with the audio file? Are they in the same folder?

If yes, did you have Quicktime player installed hen warping the tracks? Is it installed on both machines now?

Yeah Ive got this problem as well, just posted another thread about it here. http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 519#533519

Just bought a new iMac and moved over my carefully warped library (with analysis files) from my Windows XP laptop and Live won't recognise the warps! It even marks each file as having a warp file (little tick on the icon) but does a sample analysis anyway and completely looses what I'd set on the other machine!!

Do I have to go back and re-warp each of my 300 music files or is there some sort of "Import" function???!?!??!

I need help with this:

I had this problem awhile back. Basically, I was running 5.2 on my PC notebook and decided I needed to make some room on the internal hard drive, where I had stubbornly saved my Live sets. I copied the sets folder onto another hard drive through windows, deleted the sets folder on the internal, and tried to open a song from the external drive- it was all unwarped! So I spent the next two weeks retrieving my deleted ASDs and repositioned them in their original respective folders. After restoring all files as they were before- everything works fine--- but I need to install a new internal hard drive now, and I am nervous about my live sets.

I record, slice up, and arrange audio without hitting the save button, but I save all sets self contained- so I though that would copy all samples that the set uses into one folder. I ended up resaving/renaming each set, saving them through live-onto the external hard drive- as it is my understanding you have to save a set self contained onto another hard drive for all associated files to copy over (using samples from library, clips from other sets, newly recorded audio, etc)

I want to install a new internal hard drive, but I don't know how to do this safely, without risking the loss of all my warp data.

I am still on 5.2, so I cannot make use of the new collect and save feature- and I really want to update to L6- but I need to know my tracks are properly backed up so I can update without losing any important library stuff.

So- I want to install a new internal hard drive, then I want to update to Live 6. How do I do this safely, without losing all my work?
