Audio Recording Problem

I'm new to Live 6 and have been learning it for a couple of days now. I have an M-Audio Keystation 49e and whenever I load up one of lives Midi Instruments and arm it the instrument works and I'm able to record. On the other hand, whenever I load up a sample as Audio I can't record. I press my midi keyboard and there is no sound emitted. Please help :oops:

If you want to "play" the sample with the keyboard, I think what you should be doing is first put the "simpler" into a midi track and then put the audio sample into the simpler (then tweak it to how you want it to sound), then play/record the sample as you normally would in MIDI.
