bouncing plugin effects permanantly to the track

how is this done in LIVE ?
i cant find an apply or bounce functoin for plugs.
i have to open another track and actually record it again ?
when the aliens finally come to conquer the earth,let us hope that their weapons of choice are fender telecasters and macintels...

pretty much by definition.. yes. to bounce a track you have to open an audio track, route the audio to that track, and realtime record the new track.

otherwise it would be called something else.. like rendering.. or freezing..

check out the rendering options under the file menu and in the manual,,

ok

then a plugin APPLY button goes on the wishlist
along with gimme back the EDIT button

other apps have it.
of course other apps have an edit button too.
live seems wierd in that respect, for all the wonderfull
things it does, it lacks some of the simple stuff

i have frozen before, but what is flatten.
is this the secret weapon i'm lookin for ?

after freezing just pull it to a new audio track or use the create audio track function..

this is what i was meaning with "Create audio track".. was the german version :)
