pops/clics during certain actions

Bonjour,

Je suis français et nouvel utilisateur d'ableton live. J'ai quelques problèmes de clics et de pops/clics audio lors de certaines actions par exemple lors de l'arrêt d'un set en appuyant sur la barre d'espace après quelques dizaines de secondes d'utilisation ou encore en appuyant sur KEY pour l'affectation des touches clavier en cours de lecture, lors de l'appui sur une touche du clavier affectée affectée par exemple à la coupure d'une piste.
Ce type de problème est totalement aléatoire mais suffisament présent pour être gênant.Il survient même sur de petits sets de moins de 5 pistes avec des pistes gelées il survient également lorsque je travaille uniquement en audio. J'ai essayé l'update de mon système d'exploitation OSX de la version 10.4.8 à 10.4.9 et cela semble ne rien changer. Mon ordinateur n'est pas connecté a l'internet et aucune autre application ne tourne lorsque j'utilise Live. La taille du tampon ne change rien au problème actuellement il est reglé à 1048 échantillons.

I am a French and new user of ableton live. I have some problems of clicks and audio pop / clicks during certain actions for example during the stop of a set by pressing on the space bar after about some dozen of seconds of use, also by pressing on KEY for the affectation of keyboard buttons while set is playing, or during the support on a touch of the keyboard affected for example to the cut of a track.

This kind of problem is totally unpredictable but present enought to be annoying. It arises even on small sets of less than 5 tracks with freezed tracks. It also arises when I work only in audio. I tried the update of my operating system OSX from the version 10.4.8 in 10.4.9 and it seems to change nothing. My computer is not connected to the internet and no other application turns when I use Live. The buffer size doesn't change anithing to the problem, it's at present tuned on 1048 samples.

Hi,

Have you tried connecting your soundcard to the other USB port? Also, do the same problem happen if you use the internal soundcard of the computer?

At first thank you for the quickness of your answer,
I also posted a description of my problem to the support and got and answer too.

So as sayed, I tried to use the built-in output of the macbook and the problem seemed to be solved, after what I connected the UA-4 to the other USB port, the one on the left side near the alim input. No clicks or pops anymore for the moment; after about half an hour. Those clicks were pretty unpredictable so I hope that's the solution and won't be worried about that anymmore. I think I would be definitively sure of that after a few days of use.

Just for information, I also disabled the mic 48V phantom on the UA-4 FX, doesn't know if it caused any trouble too ...
