as long as your guitar is electric and you've a good effects unit like a
line 6 pod or somert you can achive most sounds, i wouldn't spend loads on the guitar....
until you get alot better..

I think that Ibanez would be a nice choice.
It's got humbuckers (for that fat sound). I think the Ibanez will sound fatter than the jackson because it has a mahogany body. I think it will be more like the Queens, the Jackson will probabl be better for cleaner metal styles.

Would be best if you could try a few in a store.

you can achieve any sound ya want with any of these mate,
i have a fender acoustic guitar and i had a pick up put in it, and if i put it through a dirty preset on my guitarport i sound like i'm in fuckin slipknot!...

I like the look of the Ibanez...
go to a guitar shop mate and get amounst em! it's all about the feel,
you'll know when your holding the right 1..Trust me

very heavy shit eh?
hmmm...
i dunno if I would put QOTSA under very heavy shit, anyways, Josh Homme has a very particular guitar sound of which he is very secretive about it but is consisted of guitars with P90 style pick ups and good old tube amps with few fx boxes thrown in between! with thick fuzz!!!!
For a cheap start check into Tele Custom Squier (or Epiphone SG) and a Big Muff Fuzz, dont be afraid of getting second hand stuff... it will save you loads cash!

yeah i know QOTSA arnt heavy heavy, but that sound, and the Rammstein sound (which i know consists of a certain amp, but hey, computers :) ) is what I want.

thanks guitarists of the live comunity!!

another wee thing, Im leaning more towards this Ibanez, my friend on the phone asked me about pickups, he asked what they where like on it, and I hadnt a clue, he said this was very important, can somebody show me the way?
