New to Digital DJing, advice needed on equipment

Post by IceDrag0n76 » Tue Sep 04, 2007 5:01 pm

Hey wussup?

I’m new to digital DJing, I needed to know what equipment to buy to practice live performances with Live in my home.

Right know I have Live 6, operator, Sampler, EIC, M-Audio Trigger Finger Drum Pad, M-Audio Ozonic Firewire Audio / MIDI Controller, Macbook, and Evolution X-Session USB Mixer.

Out side of that what will I need to practice? I.e. Speakers, amp,

Thanks,
E

You could just plug in your headphones... Or perhaps use your stereo.

Yeah mate u got more than enough. Assign everything you need to the TG or X-Session and rock it. Don't forget to record yourself and listen to your mix in the car. IMO the mistakes show best when driving @ 200bpm
MBP 2,5ghz
Live8
Maschine - AK1

digital dj'ing is...

traktor.
traktor.
traktor.

i am an avid live user, however, when i want to dj on my lappy i use traktor

you have loads of gear, and that's cool and all, and it may even be part of your show.

but, if you want to simplify hand in hand with digital dj'ing, i would give a serious buy recommendation for traktor, or traktor scratch at least.
