Note: I missed this forum by accident. Please excuse the double post. I didn't mean to post this in the general board area.
Here's my problem....I keep getting the disk overload indicator on when doing playback. I use Ableton on my laptop. It's speed is at 1.8 (single core), and 2 GB's of RAM. I have three external HD's by Seagate. I use the 250 GB external HD to store all my VST's. I have none installed on my laptop's internal hard drive. Here's what I do:
1. I insert either Albino, Predator, or Rapture on a midi track
2. I record the midi to the midi track
3. I freeze the track (to free cpu)
4. While frozen, I copy the midi clip to the audio track (to create an audio track)
5. Got the audio track, so I delete the midi track
6. From using Albino/Predator/Raputre, the audio track itself, has the Disk Overload indicator go on at certain times during playback.
I did the tips on 315 of the manual, about the RAM and changing the inputs to mono. Also, I tried doing the same exact stuff, this time using Vanguard or the Minimonsta. The D indicator didn't come on. Any thoughts on what I should do? Thanks in advance for any help provided.
