Sound Diver-like Os X programs?

Post by The Phat Conductor » Thu Mar 09, 2006 9:09 am

I moved into a smaller studio and there's no room for the rack on the desktop anymore, so I was hoping to find a nice editor for my Micro Q Rack. Anyone have any recommendations? I don't think i can afford Sound Diver :( I used to have it on PC and it was really great, but the computer always crashed when i ran it. If i could find some little freeware version of it for OS X I would be ecstatic.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Cheers

You can download Sounddiver 3.1Beata osx for free here:

... but you need to have the Xskey to run it...

I just came across this thread in a search.

I am also looking for something like Sounddiver for OSX (UB).

I have a Korg X5D, which I currently use as a controller keyboard. It has no knobs, so live tweaking is not really possible, and I find sound design is not very intuitive on this keyboard.

I'd like to be able to tweak synth parameters (filters, envelopes, effect parameters etc.) using a MIDI controller if that is possible.

Is there anything around that can enable me to do this?

I don't have Logic, so can't use the Souddiver beta that was posted above.

thanks in advance

Unisyn 2 is OSX compatable, but it's $200 on motu's website. Not sure if you could go synth to Unisyn to an external controller, but that would make it worth the asking price.
