Help Me!

So I just received my new 2.4ghz duo core, 4GB ram macbook pro, loaded on an old copy of live 5 to test it out, and it's absoutely taking a shit. Running that performance test with the suggested settings out of the mac's sound card is running it at peaks of 200% cpu load... what's wrong with my computer!?!? I just dropped 3 grand on it and it's not even able to play that tutorial song...

j/k, you should try a more recent version, optimized for macintels

i don't know what's wrong with this at all...

i can't even listen to one of the tracks from that performance test.
