If nothing else they don't go nearly low enough for most dance and electronic music. Not saying it can't be done, just that you better have an alternate playback system to use to check your work on.
i've had mine for years and love them, but not for mastering. i always miss stuff.

You'll need:
1. A paid web host - about $10 per month - I recommend webmasters.com
2. Register your domain - $15 per year - GoDaddy.com
3. FTP Client
4. Web administration to set up FTP accounts for your clients

you have no clue what you're doing but you want to charge money...

I'm all for helping over hating but this is ridiculous. why should anyone pay you money, you should pay other people for source material to practice on. this is unethical. what would you know that the person who made the track doesn't?

by all means learn to engineer tracks but sticking feathers up your butt does not make you a chicken (fight club reference, not the .gif).

you can tell me to fuck off then we can argue the same side of the argument and we both win!!

I have serious respect for the people up in here who have paid their dues, and there are people on this forum that do FAR MORE heavy shit than we know, REAL industry people. this isn't grade school, this is the real world.

not hating just talking about paying your dues before you earn your stripes.

it's all that curry neb eats, softens the stool, gives it that warm, tingly sensation.

one thing's for sure, if neb takes shit under his wing, he's got a good start.

I don't think he seriously wants to charge people money until he's providing value, and I think that's an admirable goal. Could he have phrased it differently? Sure. But no need to beat people down for posting a lofty goal, or no one would risk anything to achieve anything worth a damn.

cool. it's music man, this is serious shit.

you'll know when I beat someone down, or try to, I usually end up beating myself down.

I've heard of a book made for another DAW, maybe Pro Fools. it comes with a CD of tracks from different genres, each track is broken down into its instruments. then the book walks you through adding, EQing etc each track. I'd love something like that as I'm always futzing with my own noises and don't really care about polishing them for 'release'.

Funky Shit.

You're not going to make money as an independent mastering engineer charging low rates to fuck up a song by using cracked mastering software, badly, in your bedroom.
