Old Skool Live Trick

Post by ethios4 » Mon Jul 12, 2004 9:37 am

Just learned an old trick from Live1! Took the Amen break and jammed the Position and Length of the loop on top of the waveform with mouse. Totally easy and fun to create streams of cutup breakbeat madness ala squarepusher/AFX. This software never ceases to amaze me...

nevermind the corny "Wall" theme playing; inspiration struck in the midst of a weak moment with the Floyd!

ever tried to automate this with a mouse-recorder? it's fun and can inspire
you when tired of seeking an interesting groove/srcub by your own.
you can also use the mouse-makro with other clips to produce random
warp-marker-scrubbing.

@ www.freeware.de you'll find a tiny mouse-recorder (prog-name) by
mischa brandt that works fine (PC, win). especially the LOOP-function makes
this utility very useful... :) also you can define the play-time (realtime or
dependent on your ms-input)
