Oh cool, a new one from Apogee, pretty cool:

Too bad it doesn't work with their Symphony Expresscard!
Same converters as the ensemble though... groovy.

I was trying to decide between this and the TC Electronic Konnekt Live. I went with the Konnekt because it has:
1. separate cuemix output (duet only has 1 stereo output so you must use your laptop's built-in audio for your cuemix. Boo!)
2. three nice internal DSP powered plugins
3. more I/O but still small portable size
4. phono input jack (no mixer or phono preamp needed for turntable)
5. no breakout cable
6. gripped surface to rest laptop on top of
7. midi

Cool cause I was very much considering this. I'm still a little confused though on sound quality when you are only using internal instruments. Does it make the sound more "true"?cube wrote:No soundquality is not the only selling point!
Apogee is known for having very low latency 2ms and up depending on your system.
It is compatible with Mac OS X Core Audio so no drivers needed, just works right off.
I picked one up today. Will test it tonight, and post later on what I find!
It's a sweet, solidly built little unit!!

beats me!
Everybody who has tested an Apogee soundcard is more than happy, take a look at the http://www.apogeedigital.com/ what the users say about it and other soundcards from Apogee.
I think Apogee has the best soundcards (soundquality,Latency and stability) available and Metric Halo Mobile is very good also.
