Put a VST plugin that has internal latency on an audio track. Turn the plugin off. The track is still delayed by whatever the internal latency of the plugin is.
I think this started in Live 6. Maybe it's a feature, but I sure don't like it. Please fix or give us an option to turn this off.
BUG: VST plugins causing delay even when turned OFF
Hm, I am pretty sure at least Live 4 didn't have this behavior. I'll check.Amaury wrote:Hi,
It's not new, it's always been like that: the ON/OFF button of a plugin is automatable, it's not a "deactivate" button. That's the reason why the delay is still there when it's turned OFF.

The way it works now breaks my workflow when I am recording something and then processing it with delay-inducing plugins. I want to be able to lower the latency with one click, so I can switch between playing in real time and hearing how it's going to sound in the final mix. Currently I have to build racks for that.
