Ableton Live 6 DJ Setup
I intend to use Ableton Live 6 as a live DJ setup. The way i have set the console is connected an M-Audio 4 channel sound card and connected to a traditonal Dj mixer. Now I have two audio tracks in LIVE named as Deck A and Deck B. Deck A output is routed to EXT 1/2 instead of Master and Deck B output is routed to EXT 3/4. On the sound card Line1/2 is going to one channel and Line3/4 is going to the other channel on the mixer. Instead of using Ableton cross fader i am using my mixer cross fader and gains controls to feel a bit more like real dj setup.
Now the problem i am facing is to fire a track without touching the laptop. On every track i have put warp markers to tell myself when to fire the next track. So lets say in Deck A i have a song going and when the cursor eaches the warp marker i have put thats when the next track should start. But the problem is when i try to start the next track the wave form of the current current track disappears from the screen and i have to see the waveform of the next track by clicking on it from the mouse.
Help needed :/

In the preferences you can change the behavior from "select clip on launch".

I used to load up scenes with Live clips, then scroll with a BCR knob and launch the scene with a BCR button.
It was too restrictive, though. I need the flexibility to choose from hundreds of Live clips on the fly. AFAIK, that's not yet possible with a MIDI controller.
All I have to do on the laptop is drag in Live clips. Everything else is done with MIDI controllers.
