though it has no midi, so you'd need a cv-midi interface (60-80€)
I have an sh-101 also, but i record the sound from it as audio file and then i manipulate it in live...
sorry about the stupid question, but what is this cv-midi interface and how it works? where can i get one?
MIDI>CV by the way..

+1 on that.

I like the pulse, but it's questionable how analog the signal path really is.

sounds great though.

the sh-101 is great but i prefer it for leads.

I agree the evolver made really nice bass sounds while I had it, but I wouldn't describe it as nasty. (But of course I'm comparing and everything is relative, so I mean not as nasty as the sidstation.) I guess I'm zeroing in on the word "nasty" because that's what the OP is asking for.
Really? There's like a dozen different ways to create distortion on that thing, nasty is usually the first word I think of when I think of my Evolver. Weird how we all view gear different, no? :D
Yea guess so!

My idea of nasty isn't just coming from adding distortion, it's coming from the oscillators as well. And the evolver has a pretty silky smooth oscillator sound, IMO. You can add distortion to almost anything and make it sound nasty. Just like you can sprinkle sugar on top of anything and make it sweet.

I mean when the raw sound of something is nasty even before you add any filtering, compression, or distortion, just think of where you can take it from there!

While we're talking effects, I also think the Virus's distortion sounds nastier than the evolver. I think it's because you can add a little at a time at differnent places in the signal chain. I also think it has something to do with how the saturation goes through the filters.

+1 - that thing is the best investment per square centimeter on the market for synthesis!

Having completely failed to sell my old Roland D110 and Korg x3R in another thread...

I've got Novation Bass Station Rack that I want (need) to sell

Extreamly Fruity and Rich, watch out for flying speaker cones!

There is one on ebay at the moment for £51 but the auction still has 3 hours to go - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Novation-Bass-Sta ... dZViewItem

Whatever it goes for in the end will be my guide price.
