ableton is quite backed up right now. I think its going to be a while...
usually it takes a couple of days. sometimes they dont email you to let you know it's unlocked.

Seems you're a bit pessimist. I'd say, it generally takes less than a day, but on the WE. And I believe they always mail you back, but once 3 years ago when a support member had to run out of the office
It's okay to send a kind reminder to the support, they like to help generally.

Amaury

Hello all,
Unlock requests are usually done within 24 hours. In the worst case (sending it friday night) it might take until monday. You might send a reminder mail if you feel that your request hasn´t been answered within this timeframe.
best,
Christian

ive always known it to be prettyinstant when unlocking online, when all unlocks have been reached which has happened a couple of times, i have been contacted within a couple of hours.
With this record it doesnt need to slow your process at all.
You can still work with live in demo mode and leave tour machine switched on, in hibernation/standby whatever for the weekend until you can get unlocked.
Ableton provid e the best customer service i have ever know in a software company.
Just try speaking to NI.

im going to call them in a few minutes. hopefully phone support can help.
i dowloaded ableton, but there is no instruments. some of my old live sets will play the simpler instruments, but impulse is not working at all.
is the version you dowload to unlock the same as the demo? or does the demo include a small library?

Stonee, this poster Kleine is from ableton headquarters,
I think your email has not reached them somehow and you should email them again.
You know, your posts dont really make sense - you have bought / paid for ableton live havnt you?
If so then you should have a serial number, and then the software will unlock itself automatically over the internet.
You need to contact support if you run out of unlock keys.

I'm actually getting the ownership transfered from another member on the forum. both of us have been emailing live since saturday evening.
I probably blew quite a bit of money on long distance trying to reach phone support.
I can fully apreiciate that they're very backed up, and don't mind waiting a 2 or 3 days, but my last email took them 3 weeks to respond to. which, from what I gather from this forum is quite strange.
ive been sending my emails to customer care, is this right? at any rate, i will email support when i get to school.
sorry for flooding your mailboxes ableton, im just REALLY anxious to start using it.

Read what he is saying, use the link he has given you to contact support.
PM him, i have always had an email back off this guy within minutes. I sent him an email once to ask if he was busy for fun and he replied within half an hour ans said, "yes we are very busy, busier than usual"
my point being that he still replied.
