I am having the problem where I am having to use entirely new MIDI tracks for a new set of instruments(or impulse presets). Is there anyway to just record new clips in the same track, with different presets?
Everytime I change presets in a track for a new clip it changes the sounds of the old clip to match the new clip.
Help using MIDI tracks properly?
A way you could do this:
Use an Instrument Rack on the track, and put all the different Instruments you want onto their own chains in the rack...
Each clip on the track can have its own setting for the envelope Instrument Rack/Chain Selector
Using that envelope on a per-clip basis should let each clip play a different instrument,
but first you must map the chain selector regions for each instrument in the rack.
There is a command "distribute ranges equally" to help with that, but first you must drag the ranges out - otherwise it won't work
That may be confusing info, but at least you know the right words to search for!:)
