Ableton and Motu Ultralite - no sound?

Post by Akira-Sound » Sun Sep 30, 2007 1:57 pm

I installed live 6 and have a MOTU Ultralite interface. Live is the only software in which no audio is produced through the main outs. It does play through the headphone jack though. I have no issues with any other software and also use the interface for global audio just fine.

Has anyone had an issue with this combo? Having the sound playback only through the headphones and NOT the main outs?[/b]

I believe the main outs in Live are 11/12.

Actually, let me clarify. Using for pc audio, and it works fine. Using it for ASIO drivers for ANY music software, and the headphones only work.

I think there's an option in the mOTU control panel that lets you route PC sounds into it to fix that. Mine's packed up, so I can't test personally.

This is basically what is happening, if anyone has any ideas. Thanks.

I'm running XP on a new MSI mobo w/ intel quadcore processor, DDR3 RAM, SATA II HDD's ADS fire wire PCIe card (with Texas Instruments chipset per MOTU) & a brand new MOTU Ultralite.

I'm having the exact same issue!!! has there been a remedy for it yet?

Ok try this because I was having a similar problem.

Enable ALL input and output channels. See if ANY are giving you a signal. For some reason, I am only getting input signal from channels 3,5,15,16. Is there a way so that I can just have the input channels be a normal 1/2?
