because 6.0.10 is the same as 6.0.1

numerically correct way of speaking.

If they wanted to use 2 digits they should have started with 6.0.01

but im sure 3dot wasnt being serious, and im sure we will all know what alex means without being too confused.

They're just ones and zeros, really not something you have to keep track of in binary code.

you clearly have never worked in the software industry, or known anyone who has, or have any clue about what you speak.

6.0.10 is not the same as 6.1.0 in any software shop on the planet.
the previous *bugfix* release was 6.0.9, so the next *bugfix* release is 6.0.10. if they included a feature that didn't warrant a huge update to 7, *then* it would be 6.1.0

I think the presence of two decimal points should already indicate that this is not a real number.

FWIW, 6.0.9 was the first version of Live I've had where I experienced frequent crashes. Hoping this one gets back to the stability Live's known for...
MacBook 2 GHz Intel CoreDuo, 2GB RAM, Live 6.10, Reason 4.01, Reaktor 5.14, Novation Remote SL 25, GForce Oddity, TimewARP 2600, Arturia CS-80V 2, UC-33e, M-Audio FastTrack Pro, Roland Jupiter 6 w Europa mod

Hmm, daft question time.. if I've installed 6.0.7 do I need to install the other updates inbetween or can I just load up 6.0.10?

You can just load up 6.0.10 directly, it will contain all the previous fixes/enhancements.
