if we dont have a choice we fucked!
Krishnamurti - It doesn't matter if you die for it.

there is some beautiful stuff on youtube. it is a bit short sometimes.
for me there is also something like that you have to give yourself a chance as well.
if the competition stops in my mind, it is much easier,to make music.
...then i'm able to look into it what's called, matrix.

The more I study things, the more I suspect that we don't even know what we ourselves believe. All the signposts I see point in that direction.
So, to answer the question -- I wager that the material world of cause and effect is only a small part of the story.
rs
edit - oh, and FWIW I also recommend Krishnamurti without reservation.

Abso-fucking-lutely
if you look at the simple fact that the 5 human senses can receive only on a tiny bandwidth of frequencies, that tells you that what we see, hear, "know" is only a fraction of reality. what is the other 99% of reality? it is as surprising a reality as is artfully depicted in the movie when neo "wakes up".
and even more than that, the matrix is a oneness that is utter inter-connectedness. there are clues...

I believe we live in a matrix, but not run by machines like the movie. The real reality is extra-dimensional, and consciousness is quantum.
http://www.montalk.net/matrix
this is a good read. especially the parts of hyper-dimensional beings(aliens).
an interesting quote from this site:
* Creation is infinite, composed of a unified infinite being (the Creator) and its expression as an infinite variety of finite beings. Stated another way, the Creator is an infinite being exploring its infinite potential through an infinite number of finite avenues. While individual evolutionary paths begin and end – beginning as the first stirring of awareness among primal matter and ending in unified congruency with the Creator – the grand experiment itself is without beginning or end because there are an infinite number of these paths.

there is a 50% percent chance that we are living in a "computer generated" style of a matrix, which would probably mean that we are no more than artificial intelligence. if it were a well enough designed matrix we would never know we were living in it and that we were AI.
i think there is a good chance.
some more good reading of course is Ray Kurzweil, he is a genius. http://www.kurzweilai.net/index.html?flash=1
edit: and if we are not AI and we are living in some weird physical plain, then i tend to agree with sweet jesus to an extent, if our genetics came from somewhere else, like a space barring race then yes we are a virus invader. but if we truly evolved here we are simply a part of the earth; a mere tool created by the earth to move things around. i like the idea that the earth created us so it could see itself from outer space.

Well Johny, I'm going to get in deep trouble for revealing this, but... *You* are living in matrix, but *we* are on the outside looking in. Performing subtle psychological experiments and observing your reactions.
I'm telling you this because you seem to be on the brink of working it out for yourself. Now I have to go into hiding.

Sounds like Johnny's been at the Salvia Divinorum
the closest description I could think of for smoking Salvia 10x extract was like when Neo was unplugged from the big battery cell thing for the first time - it wasnt nice, but profound and terrifying
