If we had no choice, the Matrix would collapse. Thus, movies like the Matrix are released to lure in those "anomalies" to the trap wherein the Matrix is "cleansed" of it's necessary irrationalites and reborn.

I think there is a legal term that describes this situation. Deniable plausability. They allow a movie like "The Matrix" to be made so that if people were to believe that we actually do live in a matrix, anyone could deny it by simply saying "If we live in a matrix, why did they allow a movie to be made about it?????".
