Where do i add my own impulse samples?

Post by poops » Tue Oct 02, 2007 6:21 am

Hi. wow this forum is overwelming.

So i got live going, but where do i add my own impulse samples.

I got some sounds a friend gave me and i want to have my own
drumsets going in LIVE. But where do i put my folder of sounds at?

Is there a prefered place?

Thanks to all the 1, 000, 00, 000 00 of you!

er... i did and i couldn't find an answer.

Do I just put my sounds in the same folder as the preset sounds that came with LIVE?

you can have the samples anywhere you like on your harddrives

in order to get them into the impulse just drag and drop them into the slots.

cool...thank you. That is what I am doing, now. But is there a prefered directory to keep them?

If not I'll just add them to where LIVE has the rest of its preset samples for Impulse.

The Library is a good place to put your samples. Notice that when you click the hot swap button on an impulse cell it will take you to the directory that contains that cell's sample. I use this feature as a basis for how to arrange samples.
