Undo won't undo

Undo won't undo.

In track view Undo won't undo volume change of track.

Maybe you accidentally did something after changing the volume, in which case you'll have to Alt-Cntrl-Z two (or more) times.

Go under Edit: what does undo say? Is it greyed out, or does it say "undo (some other thing besides change volume")

Also, what do you mean by track view? Arrangement?
MAc? PC? Live 5? Live 6?

Yeah, sorry, could't have specified this more of course.

system: live 6 on PC.
with track view I mean arrangement view, sorry.

just tried it again. this time it works.

It just really seems to me LIVE once in a while jumps 1 undo in history.

If you have volume automation, and you change the volume control on the right, this won't go into the undo history. This is because live thinks of this as a temporary overriding of the automation, which you can "undo" by doing return to arrangement. If this isn't the problem, laird's suggestion is probably it, sometimes it is very easy to cause a bunch of changes that aren't obvious what's happening when they are undone. Doing things like device on/off or making midi/rack assignments or just about anything really will add to the undo history.

The thing with the volume automation might make sense. I'll keep an eye on it. Actually I always use CTRL+Z. Maybe its got something to do with this. Cause I read some other posts where people had problems with it.
thanks for the replies.
