Any feedback would be appreciated, all songs are original except landslide. All instruments/mixing done myself. Live is really helping me turn song ideas into songs.

You've voice is good in an understated kind of way. You probably wont win many awards for originality but the songs stand up ok. Reminds me Beck for some reason (Sea Change). I dont like the tempo changing on Falling Star that was a bit odd (perhaps my streaming?)

Vocals on Oh precious are too upfront for my personal liking, could have done with limiting during the chorus for effect, maybe some verb or slap delay?

Theres some definate Sonic youth influence in there from my ears.

downfader- Thanks for the feedback, having objective feedback is great, especially coming from somebody that understands the musical process. I took advantage of holiday free time to rework "Falling Star", you were right about there being some odd issues with the tempo, so I started over by fixing that. I feel so much better about the end result this time, i've posted the new version my "myspace" page.

Instead of spending time on new ideas, I'm going to try and put more time and thought into reworking some of my songs, I'll keep your advice in mind on "Oh Precious", but could you expand a little on what you mean by your suggestion of adding some reverb or slap delay on the chorus? I assume you mean to try that on the vocal portion of the chorus?

Como si estuvieras aqui is my personal favorite of your songs. Oh precious is great, the mood of the song makes me want to hear some screaming in it but thats just because I like screaming. good job man.

Sorry, I had to go back and relisten (I listen to so much unsigned music online you sometimes forget what you've listened to and what you've said about it )

Yeah Oh Precious I did mean the vocal track. You could get away with actually adding an extra effected vocal in the background if you feel the chorus' vocal still suits your needs.

If you do add reverb use a relatively large room sound, and a tail about 2-3 seconds and use the mix or send pot to fade it in on the whole thing playing to get the right balance - you dont want to swamp it. If you use delay use a ping-pong type so it expands into the stereo field. Using a return bus for this effect is probably easier as you can fine tune the amount of mix. For a slap echo you need a quite quick feedback and time so it kind of almost layers the sound.

Falling Star is working out great to my ears! You've got that absolutely spot-on!

ThrowAway- Thanks for the comments. I'm going to rework "Oh Precious" next, and I agree...some screaming would be appropiate. I used to be a huge fan of Rollins Band, and used to love to sing (scream) along....so I'm hoping I can pull it off and have it sound ok.

I finished 3 new original songs and used Ableton in the entire process. (I'm attempting to switch over from Sonar) I love writing a song using clips, the live interface is great. I'm not quite sure I prefer the automation and creating/editing envelopes portion in Live as much as Sonar but I'm going to keep trying to figure it out in Live. Anyways, these songs are a lot different than others I have done, but they were also created much faster than it has taken me in the past. The new songs are the top 3 on the list. Any suggestions/feedback would be greatly appreciated.
