No transport when midi clock set to external (Novation ZSL)

Post by p8guitar » Wed Oct 03, 2007 10:09 am

I want to use the internal midi clock of my Novation Remote ZSL, because Ableton's midi clock seems to be a bit unstable. The midi clock shall set the tempo of my kaoss pads to the tempo of the Ableton song.

But when I set Ableton Live to "external", the transport doesn't function any more (with mouseclick or with Remote ZSL button), neither play nor stop. When I click "ext" while Live is running, the tempo becomes 120 bpm instead of 80 bpm.

Sync input remote sl port 1 is activated in Live, midi clock is set to USB a on the Remote. Input indicator is blinking beneath the "ext" button.

?!?
