presets problems since upgrading to Live6

why is it that since I upgrade to Live 6 all my Operator presets are not available under Live Devices > Operator?

Preset banks like bass, bleep etc.

This was fine under Live 5, but those presets I need to choose now from the file browser instead of using the Hot-Swap preset function. That button no longer works on the old presets. Very bad!!

Why has this been changed?

The folder structure was changed for the Live6 Library..

The old structure: Library/Device Presets

The new structure: Library/Presets/...

/Instruments
/Audio Effects
/MIDI Effects

So you need to update the folder structure. There is a dialog for doing this automatically, on the first run of Live 6

But it is perfectly fine to do manually, as far as I know. This may be your best bet at this point.

So in this specific case you will create the /Presets/Instruments folder, and place your existing /Operator folder in there.

yes, I saw that dialog at first install. it said: back up your presets. which I did.

thanks for the advice. I copied all my old presets into the new structure. I must have done something wrong on first install although I remember making a backup and carefully reading the text.
