I think he is using a Roland SP-20, but I'll let him answer that

I was looking into getting the Alesis trigger pad because it's only $200. It's so much more fun banging on pads with drumsticks instead of pressing buttons with your fingers, or maybe that is just me.

It's actually a mix of Battery 3 and Drum Racks. I think the Drum Racks part is around 3:50 and then some more towards the end. Hopefully my whole set will eventually be drum racks.

Yeah.. I use the Roland SPD-20. I went through two Alesis drum pads a few weeks ago. They broke immediately.

That looks cool. Were you using a kick drum pedal as well? If so, does the SPD-20 allow for midi kick drum pedal to be directly connected?

On the right foot, I have a Roland KD-7 for triggering bass lines, kicks... whatever. The left foot has a pedal that activates an Ableton chain that switches between kits by transposition.
