Blank Midi Clips?

Post by Soviut » Mon Jul 19, 2004 2:13 am

Having only worked with the Live 4 Beta for a few hours, I'm wondering if it's possible to create blank Midi clips? The reason for this is that I have no midi controllers hooked up at present and wish to draw notes in by hand. As far as I can tell I must drag midi clips in from the browser. Is there a command to generate a blank midi clip without needing to drag one in from the browser?

Nevermind, I figured out a workaround. I simply armed the midi track for recording, hit record, and recorded a small blank clip. I then stretched it out and added notes to it.

Double click on an empty slot in a MIDI channel in the session view.
