no mic signal gets into live!!!

ok, I've been working with live for a long time now.

I have an MAudio Black Box, that I can attach my guitar/mic to to record my pieces on live.

It also has a mic (xlr) input. When I attach my mic to the bb (black box) the green led lights up, plus i can clearly hear my voice from the amp (when its not connected to live). so i guess its safe to say there is nothing wrong with the XLR connection or microphone. None the less, NO MIC SIGNAL HAS EVER REACHED LIVE!!! its been driving me insane! Ive tried everything I could think of to get even the faintest signal in, but it just wont get there.......!!

Can some one pleeease help me?!!?

(the guitar input works with no problems whatsoever, gets to live n all. so do the drum loops of the bb, just the mic doesnt seem to work)!

check the manual pg25
select "input4" from the black box from inside Live
You may have to enable this audio input from Live's preferences.

hei, thx.
i can hear something, but its got no power at all, and its got some serious background noise.....! have to turn averything way up to hear (the wave form is not visible)!

perhaps you need a phantom power supply.
Check you Mic's instructions

Maybe you need to adjust pre-amp settings on the interface.

Im not sure thats the problem though cause if I attach the mic and black box to an amplifier it works fine..! Its just getting it into live..!

Do you connect the black box to your amp via USB?

no, when i connect it to my amp its not attached to the pc.. or anything.. (by the jack output of the black box)..!
